2025 Youth Mixed Trio Tournament Rules

  1. This tournament is open to all USBC Youth members. Bowlers may purchase a USBC Youth membership for $6.
  2. Teams must consist of three bowlers, with at least one person being of the opposite gender. Entrants may bowl ALL squads, provided one bowler is changed. The oldest bowler's age will determine division. Format is three (3) No Tap games.  *BUMPER BOWLERS WILL BOWL TWO (2) GAMES. Optional events (Doubles and Singles) are available for an additional fee, however, the bowler must be entered in the TRIO event to be eligible.
  3. Bowlers may participate more than once in each event provided that two bowlers are changed in the team event and one in the doubles.
  4. The entry fee will be $20 per bowler per event with $9 going toward lineage and $11 going to prize fund and expenses. Bumper fee will be $15 per bowler per event, with $6 going toward  lineage and $9 going towards prize fund and expenses. A 3% fee will be applied to credit card payments.
  5. All participants must abide by rule 400. No practice on tournament lanes on the day of the event.
  6. All bowlers will use their highest USBC average from the 2024 – 2025 season (winter, summer, or high school). If there is no available average, bowlers MUST report their highest current league average for at least eight (8) games. Official league standing sheets MUST accompany entries. Averages for sport or challenge leagues will be converted, UNLESS there is a standard league available, at which point the highest average will be used. If there is no previous average available and no league standing sheet provided, bowlers will bowl scratch. The following averages will be used for bowlers with no applicable average: Bumpers (50), U8 (75), U10 (100), U12 (110), U14 (130), U16 (150) and U18 (170).
  7. Handicap will be 90% of 200 in all divisions. Bowlers must compete using the hand that determined their average.
  8. USBC rule 322b will apply based on the original entrant. 
  9. Bowlers MUST check in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the squad.
  10. Walk-ins will be accepted if lanes are available, entry and payment complete, and bowler arrives  at least one hour prior to the start to the start of the squad.
  11. SMART money will be awarded for HANDICAP and ACTUAL winners in all divisions. Co-Champions will be declared if there is a tie.
  12. No vaping or smoking by participants or spectators. No alcoholic beverages by spectators. No Hats or headphones worn or used by participants, unless medically necessary.
  13. USBC rules will cover all other situations. The Central Ohio USBC President, Tournament Manager, or Youth Committee Chairperson(s) will have final say.

  • Bowlers are required to wear appropriate bowling attire. Participants are expected to be neat and clean. All bottoms must be free of holes and worn at waist level. Skirts, skorts, and shorts MUST be a minimum of index finger in length.

ALL YOUTH WINNERS WILL BE INVITED TO THE CENTRAL OHIO YOUTH TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS ON MAY 16TH AT SEQUOIA PRO BOWL.
