2025 Adult Youth Tournament Rules
1. This tournament is open to all certified USBC members (youth and adult). Adults may purchase a standard membership for $30 or pay a $5 participation fee. Youth membership is $6. Only standard members (youth or adult) are eligible for USBC awards.
2. Teams will consist of one adult bowler and one youth bowler. Teams may bowl more than once but are only eligible for one award with the same partner. Format will consist of three (3) games. NOTE: BUMPER TEAMS WILL ONLY BOWL TWO (2) GAMES!
3. The entry feee is $40 per team ($18 lineage and $22 prize and expenses). Bumper entries are $30 per team ($12 lineage and $18 prize and expenses). If adults wish to pair their scores with more than one youth bowler, the adult must pay the prize & expense portion of the entry fee ($11) for each doubles pair. Example: One adult bowling with two youth - adult pays $31 and each youth pays $20. A youth bowler may only be paired with ONE adult each squad.
4. ALL participants must abide by rule 400. Rules 305 and 319a, item 3 do apply.
5. All bowlers must use their (1) highest USBC average from the 2024-2025 season; (2) highest 2025 summer league average; (3) highest current average for at least eight (8) games at time of bowling for YOUTH BOWLERS and 21 games for ADULT BOWLERS. A league standing sheet must accompany the entry if there is no book average. The following will be used for bowlers with no applicable average: Bumpers (50), U8 (75), U10 (100), U12 (110), U14 (130), U16 (150), and U18 (170). Adults (170) *** BUMPER BOWLERS MUST BOWL IN AN OFFICIAL BUMPER LEAGUE. NOTE: Adults may be rerated per USBC Rule 319c. Rule 322b will apply for absentee scores.
6. Handicap will be 90% of 400 per team.
7. Bowlers must compete using the hand that determined their average. Bowlers may not change hands at any time.
8. Teams will bowl at the time requested unless otherwise notified. No confirmations will be sent. Entries are scheduled as received.
9. Walk-in entries will be accepted based on lane availability. Bowlers must arrive at least one hour prior to the start of the squad, with completed entry and payment.
10. Bowlers MUST check in at least 30 minutes pror to the start of the squad.
11. No smoking or vaping will be permitted by any participant or spectator. No electronic devices used by participants. No alcoholic beverages by spectators. No hats or headphones unless medically necessary.
12. No practice on tournament lanes the day of competition.
13. SMART $$$ will be awarded to Actual and Handicap winners in all divisions. Co-champions will be declared in case of a tie.
14. The USBC playing rules will cover all other situations.
Appropriate bowling attire is required. Participants are expected to be neat and clean. Jeans, pants, capris, skirts, skorts, walking shorts (index finger minimum length) are permitted. Pants/jeans must be in good condition, free from holes, worn at waist level and may not drag on the floor. The Central Ohio – USBC President, Tournament Manager, or Youth Committee Chairperson will have final say.
