The marching band was very successful during Nick’s time with them. They marched in 2 Disney Christmas parades and were Mid-States Band Association Finalist qualifiers all four years.
Nick has committed to Trine University and plans on studying Mechanical Engineering, He will be a member of Trine’s bowling team, signing his letter of intent earlier this year. The mechanical engineering curriculum requires a substantial amount of math courses. Nick plans on taking a few additional courses that will be required so he can have a double major in Mathematics. For his specialty in mechanical engineering, he is leaning towards either the aerospace or automotive industries.
Congratulations Nick!
Cameryn Gale, HILLIARD BRADLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Cameryn attends Hilliard Bradley High School and holds a cumulative 4.15 GPA.
Cameryn started bowling her freshman year of high school. Although she had a late start with bowling she quickly fell in love with the sport. She was moved from JV to varsity halfway through her freshman year and maintained that varsity spot her remaining three years of high school. Her senior year season started late due to a shoulder injury. Even while injured, Cameryn made sure to attend all team practices and turned her focus to coaching the JV players to help them improve. Once she was able to get back on the lanes for her senior year, as captain of the girls’ team she helped lead her team to an undefeated season, 3 first place tournament finishes, OCC Champions, and COHSBC Division C Champions. Hilliard Bradley girls tied for 6th place at Sectionals, took 2nd place for Districts and are State bound for 2025. Cameryn finished her senior year averaging 160.6.
When Cameryn isn’t putting in time on the lanes you can find her taking photos for the school yearbook or cheering on her best friend of 14 years at her theatre productions. Cameryn has volunteered around 200 hours working with the youth population as a student mentor. This includes volunteering in a special needs’ preschool classroom, tutoring in a fourth-grade classroom, and mentoring in a first-grade classroom. She has also assisted Columbus City Schools OT/PT department in creating movement mazes for their district.
Cameryn plans to attend Baldwin Wallace University in the fall where she plans to obtain a dual degree, majoring in Special Education and General Education for preschool through 5th grade. She does plan to bowl for Baldwin Wallace on their D3 varsity bowling team. Fun fact, Cameryn was coached by Dave Johnson while in HS and now she will be coached again by him at the collegiate level. Upon receiving her degrees, Cameryn hopes to get a job in her local school system, working in a moderate-intensive special education room. She hopes to later obtain her master’s degree as well.
Congratulations Cameryn!
